Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actress and producer. In Mexico, she began her professional career in the role of Teresa in the television series (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she received an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just among her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's role as Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002) the film that she also co-produced and directed, made Hayek the first Mexican actress to be awarded the Academy Award [6]. The film also brought her the Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to produce, while starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico in the following years.
