Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a playback vocalist, actress and musician. She primarily works as the performer as well as a music director for Tamil and Malayalam films. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian house in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was a Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister is who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to begin studying piano at the age of eight. She was an avid geek and dreamed of becoming psychiatrist. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she joined at 10 years of age, formed her base for musical and vocal. In school, she was an actor and appeared in a variety of stage shows put on by The Madras Players. She also served as the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's theatre career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo commercial for coffee in 2006 with the actor Shiva in the year 2006. She also acted in one of the shows that was relayed on Podhigai channel. Her performances have been seen across India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's finale (2005). She performed a number of songs for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The director asked her to join his lead female characters in Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea acting as Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, whose husband engages in an affair and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was picked for the part after actors Simran Shobana and Tabu were invited to audition for the film. It was released early in 2010. The film was released in early 2010. take on a small supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha, which came out in August 2011. The actress made her Malayalam film debut in the Annayum film of Rajeeev Ratti by Rasoolum in the year 2013.
