Annie Murphy

Anne Frances Murphy aka Annie Murphy was born on the 19th of December, 1986. She is Canadian and has worked in Hollywood's film industry for a variety of projects. She is mainly known for playing the character Alexis Rose in the CBC TV sitcom Schitt's creek. The show started in 2015 and ended in 2020. Her performance was well-received by critics and won the Primetime Emmy Award. Born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. The parents of her were employed as educators. Elmwood School was her first choice in Ottawa and where she took part in numerous stage shows. Then she enrolled in Concordia University from where she obtained a degree in theater performance. She then took courses at the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory from where she learned the art of acting. In Los Angeles she devoted herself to acting. Annie Murphy launched her acting career with the 2007 crime-thriller telefilm Lethal Obsession. In the following years, she appeared in several films either as an actor or in smaller role. Some of these films are very popular for their time, like Story of Jen released in 2008 Lick in the year 2010, as well as A Windigo Tale released the in the same year.
